My name is Moorthy Panjatsaram, and I’m the founder of Exmine, a study and career guidance company based in Vancouver, Canada, dedicated to helping students from around the world to pursue world-class education in Canada - especially in scientific and healthcare fields like pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical research, and nursing.
I started Exmine because I realized most consultancies focus only on diplomas at colleges, not because they’re the best fit, but because they’re easy to process. At Exmine, we do things differently. We recommend programs that align with the student’s goals, whether it’s a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a public Canadian university.
My journey began as a international student myself in Canada. I completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy at Madras Medical College, Chennai, India, and later pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Biomaterials and Chemical Laboratory Analysis from Lambton College, Ontario, Canada. I also earned a Diploma in Quality Control and Analysis of Industrial Chemicals from Annamalai University, India.
Throughout my academic path, I took every opportunity to gain hands-on experience. I worked as a Trainee Chemist at Sai Mirra Innopharm Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, India and later as a Quality Control Analyst at Trillium Healthcare Products (Brockville, Ontario, Canada) and ARA-Avanti Rx Analytics (Brampton, Ontario, Canada), a subsidiary of Tilray Brands. I also worked as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart and in a rural community pharmacy under the PharmaChoice brand in near Ottawa for over 16 months.
During this time, I interacted with more than 200 international students and professionals who were struggling to find jobs, internships, or trusted advice. That’s when I started sharing tips on LinkedIn-from how I found summer internships, co-op placements to how I transitioned into full-time roles. Over time, my content reached thousands, and I built a following of over 12,500 people. I even had the honour of being featured on New York Times Square billboards twice by Topmate as one of the Top 100 mentors in Canada.
But the true turning point came when I helped my own brother study in Canada - from selecting colleges and securing an education loan to applying for his study permit and even booking his flight and accommodation. This experience gave me the confidence to help others navigate the same journey.
In December 2023, I officially started Exmine Education Inc. Since then, we have helped students from India and Nigeria get admitted to top institutions across Canada, including:
University of Calgary (Master of Biomedical Engineering)
Toronto Metropolitan University (Master of Digital Media)
Crandall University, Northeastern University, International Business University, and more.
George Brown College, Humber College, Canadore College, and more.
Through Exmine, I hope to empower students to make informed decisions-not just about studying in Canada, but also about career planning, volunteering, internships, and employment.
Our Vision
